my daughter Britta, Sharidy, and Britta's long time friend Christi Piper Leigh having a blast at the Artichoke in Wichita Since this weekend, Piper and Mark have gone separate ways. Piper now has a group called Piper Leigh & The Smokin' Section. Check out her web page (link is in the "About this album" section at bottom of the main index page). on the left is Tim Durham who was part of the trio that I joined in 2005. Tim is a monster picker - covering just about every instrument. He is also a good songwriter. It had been almost 4 years since the three of us performed together, but it was the proverbial "bike ride." (l. to r.) long time friend of my daughter, Christi Madden, her husband Mike Madden, my daughter Britta Blackwood, and her boyfriend Jamie Rheem. my nephew was there that night and gave me a hard time about the Atari shirt. I'm the one that got him started him in computers in the late 80s using an Atari 130XE. Heck my first computer was an Atari 800 in 1982. Still have it. DSCN2612

I first met Piper St Patricks Day 2005. Shortly after that I had the great fortune to be asked to join forces with her and Tim Durham for her new group. Once I moved back to Topeka in 2006, the weekly trips to Arkansas City became prohibitive, and I soon had to "retire" from that group. Later I was very excited to arrange to be available for one of her Wichita gigs. Sharidy and I headed down to Wichita to meet up with my daughter, her beau, and some good friends for an evening of awesome Artichoke sandwiches and excellent music!
